ABOUT US

I have always had a love and passion for clothing.

I owned a boutique for many years and customers were always complaining about holes in their clothing from Silverfish and Moths.

I was asked constantly what can I do to get rid of them.  I have found holes in many of my garments and it always seems to be a favourite or most expensive piece.

The upset it causes is devastating and that is why I have come up with this product.

The product has two parts;

  • Herb Pouch - The herb pouch has ten natural ingredients that repel silverfish, moths and other insects.  The herbs are put together to complement each other and give a lovely aromatic scent.

  • Slayer Bait Pad - The slayer bait pads toxicity is very mild but it is an important part of this product as it will kill silverfish.

I try to avoid harsh chemicals and spraying pesticides in my house so this product is ideal as it has neither the toxic pesticides or the smelly odour of camphor or naphthalene flakes.

Silverfish

Silverfish are bluish-silver wingless insects that looks and moves like a fish. They will eat fabrics such as wool. cotton, silk, linen and even leather.

Clothes Moths

They are straw coloured and approximately 10-12mm in length. They are seldom seen as they avoid light.

Clothes Moths prefer dark, undisturbed areas such as closets and wardrobes.

SILVERFISH

Silverfish are bluish-silver wingless insects that looks and moves like a fish.  They are approximately 10-12mm long and have 2 long antennas on their head and 3 prominent “tails” on rear. Silverfish can lay eggs during any season of the year.

Depending on the species, females can lay eggs ranging from 2 to 20 per day.

They grow from larvae to adult in 3 to 4 months. They can be found almost anywhere but they prefer dark, moist areas with a moderate temperature.

Silverfish are nocturnal so they mainly come out at night and search for a good food source. They will remain close to the food supply. Silverfish can live up to a year without food if they have a water source.

They will eat fabrics such as wool. cotton, silk, linen and even leather. They will even eat synthetic mixed with natural fibres. They also eat carbohydrates, dry foods, books, wallpaper and plants.

CLOTHES MOTHS

Clothes moths are straw coloured and approximately 10-12mm in length. They are seldom seen as they avoid light.

The adults do not feed so they cause no damage to fabrics, however, the adults produce eggs that hatch into the fabric eating larvae.

Clothes moths are notorious for feeding on clothing and natural fibres.

They are well know as pests of stored woolens, but they will eat a wide range of fabrics including cotton, linen and silk. They will also eat synthetic mixed with natural fibres.

Clothes Moths prefer dark, undisturbed areas such as closets and wardrobes.
